What can I expect in a treatment?

Different lengths of Fusion Massages are available and these are detailed below:

Full Fusion Massage

Because a Fusion Massage is individualised to the client needs at a particular time, there is no such thing as a 'set' treatment, but the description below will give you an idea of what to expect.

Prior to your first treatment you will be asked to fill in a health questionaire, this is so that the therapist will have a good idea of your needs and be able to pick up on any contraindications to massage or to specific oils. This will then be discussed with the therapist. You will not be charged for the time that this part of the process takes.

Treatments are carried out on a massage table with face hole, the table will be covered in towels and if you are comfortable to do so you will be asked to strip to your underwear and lie on the massage table covered in towels, the therapist will leave the room while you undress and re-dress. If you are uncomfortable in undressing or have cultural or religious reasons why you cannot, the whole massage can take place through loose clothing without oils.

The first part of the massage is diagnostic where the therapist will be identifying tension and warming the muscles up, this will quickly move into treatment. You will discuss depth thresholds with the therapist and how deep you are comfortable to work, it is likely that the depth of treatment will increase with treatments as you lose tension and learn to work with the therapist. An area that may be painful to work will cease to be painful once the tension has been removed from it.

Fusion Massage is a whole body treatment (strictly excluding the breast and genital areas) there is likely to be a concentration on your hands, feet and head with significant work also being carried out on your legs, arms, neck, back, hips and belly.

The number of treatments required will depend on your individual need and this will be discussed with you at your first treatment.

After the massage you should drink plenty of water to avoid getting headache that you can get as the massage released toxins from your body, this is even more important if you are a smoker or a heavy drinker, after initial excavation treatments it is best to allow yourself time to rest.

Children can be massaged, if the client is aged 16 or under, a parent or carer should be present during the massage.

Shorter Treatments

Two shorter treatments are also available if you are new to massage, nervous or for medical reasons cannot have a full body massage.

Upper Body Massage

Using Fusion Massage techniques but limiting the area massaged to back, neck, head, arms and hands, this upper body massage is an effective way of experiencing the massage and feeling the release of tension from your upper body in a shorter time. This is designed as an introductory massage and is a good introduction to how a Fusion massage feels.

Head, hands and feet Massage

Again using Fusion Massage techniques, this deeply relaxing massage of your hands, feet and head will leave you relaxed in a short period of time.
